Subject: Update Notification # 2

Dear Members of the SCSHM Community,

I am writing to provide a brief update regarding the publication of the Journal of Civil Structural Health Monitoring (JCSHM).

As previously communicated, the Society and Springer are in the process of finalizing the publishing agreement for JCSHM. The Society has formally communicated its position to Springer, including a constructive path forward that would allow continuity of publication while a new agreement is concluded. Springer has acknowledged receipt of our correspondence and has indicated that they will revert in due course. We are currently awaiting their substantive response.

In the meantime, and in order to avoid any confusion, the Society has also communicated with colleagues involved in related announcements to ensure that references to recommendations for publication in JCSHM are temporarily suspended until the publishing agreement is formally concluded.

Until the publishing agreement is finalized, the normal editorial and manuscript processing workflow for JCSHM will remain temporarily on hold. We recognize that this delay may be inconvenient, particularly for authors who have submitted or are preparing manuscripts, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding.

Please be assured that the Society is actively engaged in this matter and is working to resolve it in a way that safeguards the Journal’s integrity, continuity, and long‑standing partnership with the publisher. We will notify you promptly as soon as the agreement is concluded and the editorial workflow is fully reinstated.
