Their collective leadership ensured the continued success of the SHMII Conference Series, the Civil Structural Health Monitoring (CSHM) Workshops, the Journal of Civil Structural Health Monitoring, and numerous educational and professional initiatives that have advanced Structural Health Monitoring research and practice worldwide.

Through their efforts, a global community of Structural Health Monitoring professionals has flourished, creating lasting benefits for society and future generations of engineers and researchers.
In 2023, the Society adopted the name Society for Civil Structural Health Monitoring (SCSHM) to make its focus on civil infrastructure more visible and explicit while preserving the vision, traditions, and objectives established by its founders. Today, SCSHM continues to bring together leading experts from academia, industry, government agencies, and infrastructure owners to advance research, education, innovation, and professional practice in Structural Health Monitoring. Through its conferences, the SHMII conference series, the CSHM workshops, publications, webinars, training activities, and international partnerships, the Society remains at the forefront of global efforts to enhance the safety, sustainability, resilience, and management of civil infrastructure worldwide.
