Founding Editor in Chief

2010 -2015
In the fall of 2008, as Founding President, I successfully negotiated an agreement with Springer to publish the Journal of Civil Structural Health Monitoring (JCSHM) as the official journal of the Society. The journal was established to provide a high-quality international platform where academics, research institutions, government agencies, and industry professionals could share their research findings, technological innovations, case studies, and experiences from major infrastructure projects. This partnership created a mutually beneficial relationship that enhanced the visibility and credibility of both the Society and the journal. Over the years, JCSHM has become a respected forum for the dissemination of knowledge, fostering collaboration between researchers and practitioners while advancing the science and practice of structural health monitoring worldwide.
Present Eeitor in Chief
2015-
Today, JCSHM is widely recognized as one of the leading journals in the field of structural health monitoring. While its establishment resulted from the Society’s vision and partnership with Springer, its ongoing success is a tribute to the exceptional leadership of the present Editor-in-Chief, together with the contributions of past Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board members, reviewers, authors, and Springer staff. Their collective efforts have strengthened the journal’s international standing and ensured that it remains an authoritative source of knowledge for researchers and practitioners worldwide.
